Have you ever wondered why you really need to have your lawn mowed each week? Well, you are not alone and we like our customers to better understand their lawns and how to obtain lush green grass! WEEKLY SERVICE There are many reasons to mow your lawn on a weekly basis. First and foremost is that a healthy lawn keeps the weeds away! Mowing grass weekly keeps your lawn stress free and does not cut/prune too much off the blade of grass at a time. This will allow your grass to grow in thicker and healthier. If your grass goes too long between mowing, it gets stressed out and suffocates the bottom part of the blade of grass. This will result in thin and weak grass blades which allow weeds to germinate and sprout. We use commercial mowers and regularly sharpened blades to leave our customers with a clean cut. We also use a metal blade edger to provide the clean edge along your sidewalks. BI-WEEKLY SERVICE As bi-weekly mowing might seem like the economical option, it is definitely not the healthiest option for your lawn. Waiting 14 days between mowing not only stresses out and weakens your grass, it will also leave your lawn susceptible to weeds and disease. We cannot guarantee a bi-weekly mow as it is simply just a knock down service. Problems you will have mowing your lawn bi-weekly: 1). Uneven cuts or “Mohawks”- Caused by the mower wheels and deck bending the grass over instead of cutting it since it is too long. After we leave the property the bent over grass will pop back up leaving the lawn with areas that appear uneven or having “Mohawks” which are strips of uncut grass. 2). Clumps of grass on the lawn – Caused because the commercial mowers simply cannot process and properly mulch the grass clipping after 14 days of growth. 3). Damaged sprinkler heads – Caused because the grass height is taller than the stuck open sprinkler heads and cannot be seen by the technician while mowing. 4). Disease and Damage – Bi-weekly mowing is not healthy for a lawn. Bi-weekly is very stressful to a lawn, leaving it susceptible to damage, disease and weed growth (even when combined with a fertilization & weed control program). Please understand that we are in no way trying to dissuade our customers from bi-weekly service. We understand that there are many situations where bi-weekly service is appropriate and the best option for your property. We strive to serve our customers with integrity, and we want to make sure that we properly explain the common issues that can arise from bi-weekly service.

Please provide written notice at least 48 hours before your scheduled service day via email, client portal, or text to our business line.

If it rains on your scheduled mowing day, you can expect us later in the day if the rain lets up or the next day if it rains throughout the day. Our crews may mow while the lawn is still wet, so please notify our office by 6 A.M. the day of your scheduled service if you want to re-schedule or skip your service due to the rain. We will not be able to execute any changes received after this time. **Please note - if you lock your gates and you do not have a combination lock, please leave the gates unlocked even if it is raining in the morning since we might be able to mow later in the day.

You may have locked, fenced areas of your yard that our workers will need to access. If so, we recommend you use a combination lock to avoid lock-outs. Just give us a call with the combination and you won't need to worry about leaving the gate unlocked for the mowing crew. **Please note - we cannot send our crews back or issue a credit for not mowing inside a fenced area that is locked.

Please let us know if you have any pets that are kept outside so that the crews can be aware of them. While our mowing crews are very careful to keep gates closed, we cannot guarantee that a pet will not escape from the yard. Therefore, we recommend that you keep your pets indoors on scheduled mowing days.

Please pick up all yard debris such as toys, dog bones, trash, large rocks, etc., the day before we mow as these types of objects can be very hazardous to our workers and others if hit by a lawn mower and can cause serious damage to your property and our equipment.
